Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks, Chairman of the MINACT Board
of Directors, laid down the gavel on April 15, 2010 as he transitioned
to heavenly rest. His leadership to MINACT transcended the ordinary.
His guidance was accented by his wisdom, wit, and world-view. He shared
his experiences in ways that have shaped our past and present actions
and will continue to positively impact our future. Dr. Hooks inspired us
to persevere and his challenge to be our best will remain a high order.
His last public address to the MINACT family focused on “It’s My Time
Now” as he reflected on life’s challenges and triumphs. We have been
inspired by Dr. Hooks for many years and the MINACT family salutes his
legacy. We know that we are better because of him.
