The Batesville Job Corps Center, which is located in Batesville, Miss., has an enrollment of 300 students. With three residence halls on campus, Batesville Job Corps Center spans 28 acres and has the feel of a small community college.
Batesville Job Corps Center offers training and education in the following career technical areas:
- Bricklaying
- Business Technologies
- Carpentry
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Food Service
- Material Handling
- Painting
- Retail Sales Clerk
- Welding
Partnerships with local employers give students real-world experience in the career technical areas of their choice. The center also partners with Northwest Mississippi Community College to offer training and education opportunities.
On campus, students are able to participate in a variety of recreational activities, including sports such as basketball and softball and activities like arts and crafts. Students have the opportunity to participate in mentoring and peer counseling programs, or in residence hall leadership.
